Not only is this beautiful material timeless, it is durable and scorch resistant. However, marble is a porous material which means that it can stain.

Granite

Granite is another great natural material for kitchen counters. It is exceptionally durable and resistant to heat, scratches, and stains. It also requires no sealing. Granite is non-porous which also means it is resistant to mold, mildew, and bacteria. Granite comes in a wide variety of colors so it can match any color scheme, from neutral, to cool, to warm.

Wood

Wood countertops are great for a rustic style kitchen as they create a warm and cozy feel. They also look great in an all white kitchen as they help to add contrast and texture to the space. Laminate can be great for a retro style kitchen and it is also simple to install. One downside of laminate is that it is not heat resistant, so take care with your pots and pans!
